North Church Knitters
North Church Knitters is a new get together that is happening in North Church! We meet on Tuesday afternoons from 2:30-4 p.m. at the Portsmouth Senior Citizen Center.
We’ve been busy making scarves and hats for our outreach to any who might need something warm to wear during the winter months. If you’d like to learn to knit we are ready to help you with that new endeavor. Hope to see you there! Happy knitting!

Theology on Tap
Picture this: It’s a Tuesday night at 6:45.
You haven’t made dinner yet, you’re pretty hungry. You’ve been in front of your computer all day working, and haven’t seen anyone outside of a Zoom call. You’ve been shuffling people to school, appointments, sports games. You’ve been alone in your house, watching TV, trying to find something to do. You’ve been out and about, getting all your errands done, seeing all your doctors. You’ve had a day, whatever it brought you.
Then, you remember there’s a place you can go, on this Tuesday night. You remember that at 7 p.m. at Dough Craft Pizza, there’s a group you can be with where you’ll be prayed for, listened to, supported, loved. There’s a time you can share with people who want to know how your life is going, who are curious about what God is doing in your life and in their lives. And there will be pizza. And soda. And water. And beer and wine. And pasta. And bruschetta. And salad. Really anything you want within the scope of a somewhat-Italian restaurant.
You can come and fill up your spiritual cup. Come and ask questions. Come and be surprised!

Big Meeting Sunday
All committees are invited to Big Meeting Sunday! We’ll begin with a time of fellowship as we have a potluck lunch together and then we’ll break off into our committees for short meetings before coming back together in a large group to share the plans we have for the next few months.
The goal of Big Meeting Sunday is to help with information sharing, and to encourage committees to work together through the sharing time at the end. These meetings will help us work together, be in fellowship, and align our work with the values we hold as a church. And, it’ll be fun!

Firefly Pottery Paint Night
North Church has been partnering with Second Christian Church to support the Footprints Food Pantry in Kittery, ME for the past few months. We have an opportunity to support Footprints and have a time of fun and fellowship with Second Christian Church.
The Firefly Pottery Paint to Donate project supports the Footprints Food Pantry Empty Bowls Event and gives individuals a chance to paint a bowl and donate it to the project. Missions, in conjunction with Parish Life, is organizing two different times to go to Firefly Pottery in Portsmouth and we are inviting Second Christian Church to join us.
Those interested in the event should sign up for a date/time with a member of Missions by Sunday, March 9. We will need to make a reservation in advance. The cost to paint/donate a bowl is $10 (to be paid individually at Firefly).
If you are unable to join us on either of the above dates, you may go to Firefly Pottery at a time that fits your schedule. The Empty Bowls Paint to Donate project runs January 25–March 15, 2025. Firefly does ask that people make reservations in advance. Firefly Pottery can be reached at (603) 431-7682.
